Bait fishing is permitted in all lakes of the New South Wales Snowy Mountains.
The common forms of bait are:
Mudeyes (Dragonfly larvae)
Worms (Standard and larger ‘scrub worms’)
Bardi Grubs
Mudeyes are only available from October to April/May and are often difficult to obtain in the early or late season.
Worms are available year round however the scrub worms are usually more difficult to obtain (and more expensive!)
Bardi grubs are usually used from April to September/October.
