August, 2009 – The Bobundra Creek, after recent rains, finally has some water in it again! In March 2009 it was completely dry at the Dalgety Road Bridge crossing.
Bobundra Creek is a small stream that flows from Nimmitabel to Dalgety, where it flows into the Snowy River. The Bobundra does hold some larger fish and in good rain seasons the creek provides good fly, or lure fishing. The section between the Snowy River and the Dalegty/Maffra Road bridge is catch and release, fly only. The other section, from the Dalgety end to the road Bridge at the Cooma/Maffra bridge , allows for fly or lure and two keepers per day.
